I have an airweight with CT 405 grips with the padded backstrap. I like it but not for pocket carry. They are just too big to carry in a pants pocket, fine in an inside or outside coat pocket though in colder weather.

Mine works well in cargo shorts or pleated Docker style pants. Also works good with 5.11 pants. I use a Mikas pocket holder, have used Desantis Nemesis in the past.

Bluelineman, I'm with you. 642 w/LG405s. The LG305s come w/the gun when ordered w/the CTC laser and have a slightly smaller grip which might be a little more concealable in the pocket. However I have medium hands and the 405 just feels better. I had to order the gun & 405 CT grip separately. As a result it cost about $50 more than w/the 305.
I have no problem concealing in any cargo type shorts or docker pants. If it is marginable I make sure my shirt is long enough to cover the pocket.
Sometimes we just have to dress around our CCW.
