I think a better test would be for them to give Lima a 226 and let her drop it a few times.

....yeah for someone that is supposed to handle firearms on a regular basis, you would think the co-host wouldn't sweep his partner with the muzzle like that......argh.....

There is a video online showing them doing that and MUCH more to a P220 and 226... they even placed the P220 inside a box with explosive material, shot it, put it on fire etc and the guns still functioned.

Guessing that not too many cheapie firearms could have passed that one.
Many none cheapie guns could not hack that either... many well known guns (even some used by LEOs) have failed military torture tests before.

So is it not possible that an attack using a crow bar, tire iron, hammer, base ball bat etc can hit the victim in an area where their gun is concealed? I don't see it hard to imagine someone being attacked like that, while having their handgun fail them when it had sustained such a hit.

Don't forget that when you run out of ammo you can also do the reverse and use the Sig as a "bat" to beat your attacker's head in.

Reminds me of the time my buddy was over at my place. He had his 229 just tucked in his waist band. I had just set up a trampoline my neighbor gave me in my back yard. My friend started to jump evidently forgetting his Sig was not in a holster. when he jumper real high he started to go down and the sig was still heading up out of his pants. The gun bounced off the metal tubing of the trampoline and then hit the ground hard. The gun had one is the pipe when this happened. The gun also was fine after this happened except for a slight scatch on the side of the slide . The look on my buddys face, priceless.

What kind of sick mind would even think of doing that to a beautiful SIG?

I'm pretty sure I will not be doing this test to my own SIG P226.
