This is a discussion on Walther PPS "Blau/Grau" within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; Finally got the call that my Walther PPS was in at the store. Here it is- in the "blau/grau" finish for those who haven't seen ...
I have a 1st Edition and LOVE IT! The gray coating is peeling off, so I may be able to get a new black one with a couple mags in exchange if I send it in.
Though I have had my FL concealed permit since 2001, today was the first time I have carried (in the past I have just kept a pistol in the truck when traveling and in my home). So- as you might have guessed, I carried the Walther PPS- in a Crossbreed Supertuck holster. For the most part it went really well. The holster is a little stiff, and it sticks in a couple of places, but I am playing with the ride height tonight in an attempt to alleviate some of that. I also learned that I need a belt (was hoping to get away with not wearing one, as I hate them...). At the end of the day I asked my Dad (who is also my boss), who knew I had picked up the pistol this past weekend, and who also knew I purchased it with the intention of carrying it, if he knew I was carrying- he did not. Neither did anyone else in the office (and they wouldn't have cared if they did know). All in all a good day. As long as I was standing I was almost unaware of the PPS- including a trip to Target, the grocery store, out to dinner, and to Barnes and Noble!
I have a Supertuck for mine as well! I give you permission to further copy me, LOL. Congrats on a day well done! We should compare toys at the next Florida meet;).

Don't forget to shoot the gun at the range to 'prove' your choice of ammunition. You wouldn't want to be surprised at an inopportune time (under attack) to learn that your carry ammunition causes your gun to jam repeatedly. Or, um... maybe you've already done that.
