How much cash extra for the 1911? I would trade it to be honest with you. Nothing against sigmas, but..........well I take that back...a lot against Sigmas. At least it's not a high-point.

what is the condition like on the 1911? Your Sigma + $200 for a <1000rd 1911 is a steal IMO.

Dang, I like my Sigma but I'd take that deal.

You will miss the Sigma. Maybe not now, maybe not soon, but you will miss it. I have a 40ve and nine other handguns. A Sigma in 9mm is on my want list and they are soooo... inexpensive.

    Yeah, I like Sigmas.

i love my sigma, too, but i don't know.....a springfield 1911? which model is it? how many rounds through it? it might be a terrific deal, depending on these variables.

Good choice! So here's how to perform a sneaky "tactical firearm purchase":
Step 1: Buy wife shoes (or insert other item of obsession here _____
Step 2: Hand wife object of obsession as you walk through the door.
Step 3: As wife is obsessing over said new shoe acquisition, mumble something about how she would owe you big, but you already took care of it for her, and make a B line straight for the gun safe! [if/when she notices charges on financial statement, tell her those shoes "really cost her" (with childish smirk on your face) Hey, it's not a lie, they did!]

Up grade to the Beretta (.40cal.) or the Springfield, either choice is great- try out the Springfield XD. 45 also.
Sigma is the ONLY S&W thats wellll--not to great, and thats what a S&W rep. said to me on our range, he called it a throw down/away.
Even though I personally never heard of a bad experience about the pistol, and I delt with alot of students. Anyway, its a great step up.
