I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.

I have the same problem, Tru-Glo gets my vote, especially when the front site is a different color than rear.

    XS Big Dot
    Heinie Straight Eights

I thought Heinie was the best, but the more I use the XS Big Dots the more I like them. They are on the target fast.

TFO's look pretty sexy, but I like my XS Big Dots.

The Tru-Glos do look good but I've read/heard that they can be fairly fragile. If that's the case, they may get beat up for EDC.

    Tru Glo

I'm a TFO fan and have them on all three of my Glocks and have installed several sets for customers. Only one set has ever died, one side of a customers rear sight went dead. It was most probably defect rather than damage and they replaced the set hassle free. Wife has the beretta Tomcat with the XS front night sight and it died right after she bought it, again probably defective rather than damaged, and she had it back from Beretta in about 10 days no hassle.

I had Meprolights on my XD and they were a tad bit better than the original XD sights but not by much. I replaced then with TFO TruGlow Fiber Optic sights and the difference was dramatic they are the brightest clearest sights I have ever seen in all lighting conditions. In daylight and indoor lighting ( fluorescent or incandescent ) they glow bright, same at dusk dawn or dim low light conditions. In the dark / no light the Tritium kicks in and glows in the dark result is no matter what the lighting conditions these sights glow. Which I think is a huge advantage over just Tritium night sights which have no benefit in daylight or low light / dusk / dawn lighting and only glow in the dark. When transitioning from bright light / daylight to dark that these really stand out because that is when all other lights seem to fade and are difficult to see at least with these old eyes. My guess would be that any fiber optic tritium sight would be about equal as it is that combination that makes these stand out from any other sights I have used. My TFOs are on my EDC I did have a problem with them when I soaked them down with Gun Scrubber one call and they were replaced immediately. Other than that they seem to take whatever I dish out.

Abort the Obamanation not the Constitution

Those who would, deny, require permit, license, certification, or authorization for me to bear arms are as vile, dangerous & evil as those who would molest, abuse, assault, rape or murder my family
