Any thoughts on a Wilson Combat ADP?

Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with a Wilson Combat ACP 9mm pistol? I like the looks of them and the features but thought that about my first wife.

Well, they are all ready going out of production, or so I've been told.

Apparently they didn't sell that well. If you want one, get one now otherwise they're going to disappear.

I don't have one, but I've played with a couple and personally, I think there are better options in the poly 9mm field for the money.

Here's a link to a long, detailed thread about this pistol on another forum. Very eye opening.

I have not handled or shot the ADP but I did own the Heritage Stealth on which it is designed. The stealth would consistently shoot out the pins as mentioned in the Firing Line thread.

In the stealth I found the gas piston design to be precarious. There is a delicate "o" ring that seals the piston in the gas tube and this is not designed to be very durable. Replacement parts were very expensive for what they were.

The striker retention plug is locked into the frame by a half turn. There were several reports that the retention plug failed and the striker exited the pistol when fired. The striker lines up directly with the shooter's eye.

That was enough for me to sell off the stealth. When I saw the ADP it all the same elements. No thanks! Plenty of other better, safer choices out there.
