Wait until you decide to 'play' with it and modify parts and pieces.... I bought a stock Colt earlier this year. At first it was just various grip panels I wanted to try... Now she is in the gunsmith for the second time getting her nails clipped and toes done! Can't wait to feel a perfectly tuned trigger!!!

I purchased a Springfield Armory EMP in May. Now, I have my eyes on a Lightweight Champion Operator or the stainless steel Loaded Champion....or both. I have a couple of XDs, but the 1911 platform has a strangle hold on me.

My name is Cnova and i have been addicted to 1911 for about a year now.. It happen when i went to my gun shop and my gun smith had one on his hip. I asked to see it and i was hooked after that. My first one was a Kimber u/c 45. than i sold my XD sub 40 and got a kimber u/C 40cal. Now i got a kimber Aegis in u/c 9mm, i dont know what to do . my wife told if i didnt get help she was leaving.. I packed her bags (just kiding). Someone i need help..


My next will be a 4" bobed 1911 and i hope i am done after that..

It's important that you have taken the first step and admitted that you are addicted, but by claiming to be able to 'stop whenever you want', you are showing classic signs of avoidance. I would recommend seeking help, but there is no known cure for what you have.

Agreed. I bought an Ed Brown Kobra as well, but not the carry. This does satisfy the addiction for awhile.

Now, I have a 5-inch 1911 of an inexpensive brand (Springfield) in a parkerized finish. My next 5-inch 1911 will be an expensive brand (Colt, Kimber, Baer) in stainless steel.

3 pounds and 5 inches of pure pleasure.

All I can say about 1911's is I wish I had more. My 1 is lonely,but she's a looker!!
