One of my 1911's seems to have a crush on me. She sleeps beside my bed and coes everywhere I go. How do I tell her that there are others in the stable?

Last night at the range I shot 100 rounds thru my new PT 1911 and I'm one happy camper. Useing American Eagle FMJ hardball ammo there were no malfuctions whatsoever. I'd come prepaired to adjust the rear drift sight, but it was spot on @ 50 ft. and shooting with both hands produced a single golf ball sized hole in the target so that after a while it got to be "boreing" not seeing where my bullets were not hitting
I'm really liking this thing more and more & have started the search for a good OWB belt and high ride holster as I'm thinking the PT may replace my S&W .38 J frame as my primary carry.
Do you guys have any sugestions? I have a sholder rig that fits the gun but just don't like this big hunk of steel hanging under my left armpit and I'm thinking that wearing a cover garmet durring the Florida summer ain't gonna get it.
When in doubt, wup it out....

    Hi, I'm Jeff. I have a 1911 problem.
I only have one 1911, a Kimber Eclipse Custom II .45 that I bought only about a month ago. But I'm hooked.
I think the 1911 Anonymous 12-step program should be to ultimately acquire 11 more of them!

Love my PT 1911 too. There ain't no cure and don't try to resist, it is futile, so enjoy the ride.

    1911 Holster

I like the Galco Scount IWB holster for the full size Colt and also works for the Hi-Power. This holster works well for me with a jacket but the guns are a little big for cover by just a t-shirt. Some guys can carry it off but the weight of a loaded 1911 is way to much for my comfortable concealed carry. The loaded 9mm Browning is at the upper of limit for me and in the summer I usually carry a Kahr of G-19.

You guys are pathetic. You spend more time w/your Kimbers than your wives? Your drooling on your keyboards? Coveting thy neighbor's 1991? ***!

Just a sec ... that was my gun dealer. He says I can pick up my new HK45 any time.

Wow, I only have one handgun...but it's a beautiful 1911. From the sound of things, it seems that I'm in trouble!

You really know you have it bad when you scrimp and save for a new rifle, go to the gun shop to get said rifle and return home with 2 1911s. Been there done that.

I just got my Rock Island back (she was in for a facelift) and WOW!!!!!!!!!! Now I have TWO awesome 1911's back in the stable! The PT1911 has no modifications and is an awesome shooter as well as my EDC. The Rock now has a match bushing, custom 20 LPI checkering, Novak fiber optic sights, Wilson Combat trigger, Wilson Combat hammer, extended beavertail, extended thumb safety, rounded butt, an overall tightening and a hot blue. I can't shoot any better than the 2" groups at 25 yards.

The addiction is real - not perceived. I am now hoping an Officer's model finds it's way onto my Christmas list!

My name is Phil and I'm a 1911aholic, I sold my tupperware guns to buy my first Taurus 1911, this led to S&W, S&A, Kimber, now I'm having to go Night Hawk and Les Baer for bigger highs, "oh God where will it end???"
