    My new ccw

Well my CCW finally came in. I know the pics are horrible but the Springfield looks great and shoot like a champion. HaHa. Sorry I had to. It is a Stainless Springfield loaded Champion. I had it Bobtailed, Chainlinked, The ambi safy traded for a single sided, the slide stop chopped, and the whole thing bead blasted. It carries great and shoots perfect.

That's a fine looking carry piece!

I also want to know who did the work. I don't know that I have seen that combo before...did you decide what to have done or was it a package sort of deal?

Whatever it was, it turned out great!

I can see that joining this site could be expensive...I will probably lust after all the nice guns, holsters, etc.

Just curious why you went with a single safety versus the ambi? It seems most of the "basic" 1911's have a single safety, and the "upgraded" models always have a ambi-safety. The manufacturers always consider this a premium item. If you don't mind, why did you go back the the single?
