Charter Arms .44 Special Custom Work Pictures

So I know that a lot of people out there don't like Charter Arms revolvers, but thought I would share some pics of my .44 Special that I just got back from Magnaport. I didn't get it ported, but I had some other work done. I had them file down the front sight, and replace it with an XS Big Dot Tritium sight. I also had them mini bob the hammer, and jewel and polish the hammer and trigger.

Just waiting on my Simply Rugged Holster to show up any day now to complete my new trail gun.

Nice! I have a Charter .44 spl that I also use for a trail gun. How long did it take Magnaport to do the work? I may have to look into making some changes to mine.

BTW MagNaPort - They do a great trigger and action job also.
    Nice carry revolver.
Smart choice on the front sight for a self defense wheelie.

I remember that one of the gun ragazines, many years ago, did a story on a Magnaport custom .44 Bulldog. Hardchrome or something, porting, jeweling, action...and I think some sort of hot lime green plastic insert sight. I always thought the work was kind of neat. I'd like to have one, not that I need a .44 Special. Let us know how it shoots.

It took them about three weeks to get it back to me. This is actually my second Charter .44 Special. I also have a black one, but wanted to get the custom work done on a stainless one.

Heading to the range tonight to try it out with the new sights.

I'd rather have my 629, but I have shot several CA's and they all went bang. Very mice work you have done. I didn't know magna port did jeweling. Thanks for the knowledge.

Can somebody edumicate me on the .44 Special and its balllistics/primary uses? I'm sad to admit that it is a round I know every little about. Very nice looking wheelie.

That's a great looking weapon! I would like more conventional sights for a trail gun for those sights look great for ccw! And I like the hammer and trigger! It's real classy!

I just got back from wringing some rounds out of the gun after the work was done on it. I was 47-50 within the outline of a "Q" or Qualifying target with the majority of them being center of mass, but I did get a few head shots in. Very impressed with the accuracy of these guns.
