The EGW does have a thicker flange than OEM, but it is not EGW's thick flange model I don't believe. It's their 'carry bevel angle bore' bushing. They have some that are real thick!

And no, I didn't get the barrel recrowned although it would have been a very nice touch. Mostly cosmetic on a defensive pistol and I didn't want to run up the bill any more!@
Oh, I'm keeping the T3, you can count on that - just put new Spegels on it too! It's just that, should I ever have to use it defensively, the possibility of having it taken into evidence and treated roughly makes me a bit apprehensive. If I had to lose a gun to an evidence locker, I'd prefer it to be one I could afford to replace but still bet my life on - a 1991 Colt fits that bill pretty nicely (cheaper than an XSE too). The Nighthawk is my "once in a lifetime" gun.

Hopefully you'll never need it sir... but a big 'yeah right' to your 'once in a lifetime gun'. I see a full size Nighthawk in your near future, or maybe a full house custom gun....
