Congratulations. So far, I've had no problems with mine and it is my "go anywhere" gun.

    Have fun.

    Congrats...on the new sidearm!

Some strong advice here...if you're going to carry that thing, you had better get it to the range and make sure that there are not mechanical surprises.OMO

A big plus one. I wouldn't carry ANY gun until I did.

Good advice. I try to put at least 100 rounds through a gun before I carry it. You don't know the POI or the mechanics enough to use it in a high emotional situation.
However, I'm excited to hear the Ruger has the kinks out of it.

Good for you! Should prove pretty handy and .380 isn't too shabby. Something that size can always hide somewhere on your person.

I hope you are as happy with it as I am I am mine. As I have posted before, you may not be able to use Remmington Or Corbon ammo. I tried with mine and it will not chamber. I called Ruger and they are aware of the problem and are looking in to it. I practice out to 21 feet but have shot it out to 30, I can keep them within a pie plate at 30. Do yourself a favor though and put a 100 round or so through it before you carry.

I know the Kel-Tec PF9 has a life expectancy from the company of 6,000 rounds, which is a lot for such a small little pistol. Can any one tell me what the life expectancy is of a Ruger LCP?
