    Finally completed the P6 project

I recieved the new wood grips from Dennis Marschalko today and I also installed my new Trijicon night sights. So I guess the SIG P 6 project is now complete. Forgive the Photos are not the best, low light inside, I will take some good shots outdoors later this week as time permits.

Very nice,I have a P6 on order and am planning on refinishing the gun with KG guncote,I am thinking about doing a possible brushed stainless and black or gray and black ,with grips being almost impossible to find and costing a small fortune I am going to use my carpenter skills and make a really cool set of wood grips.I also don't like the hook on the hammer and am considering filling it with JB weld and filing and sanding smooth before finishing

Funny you posted this, I was just looking at a P6 today thinking it would look really good with a "parker" finish... and it does!

Do you have any feeding problems with the HP's, and if so, what did you do if anything to fix?

Very nice sidearm, I do find the hook on the hammer strange and it seems it would be a snag magnet. I would close it in or fill it with something, or have a smith replace it entirely. The finish was a great choice.

Very nice. I have been looking at them too and I have a question. What is the reason for the hook on the hammer?

Very nice! (that's starting to sound like a broken record, isn't it)

I have a thread here myself about a P6 I picked up a week or so ago. The first thing I did was install a Trigicon nite sight and replaced the grips. Now, to work on that trigger...

Very nice! Beautiful grips, and I'm not usually a fan of wood on anything but 1911s.

I read on a thread somewhere that the hook on the hammer is suppose to indicate if the weapon was dropped on the hammer and it hit hard enough to deform it it goes to the armorer to get checked out,I do not know how true that is but I have never seen any other gun with a hook.
