My New Baby...first Block...I mean, "Glock"

Just brought her home a few days ago. I've never owned a 9mm, or a Glock. A friend of mine told me this was one to have, and I took his advice. In short, I'm smitten. What a sweet chunk of polymer hardware. Anyway, y'all take a look...feedback is most welcome.

That's my favorite Glock, and probably the only one I'd consider buying. Looks good in that holster, what kind is it? Hard to see with the pic all blown up like it is.

Sorry about that...I think I got the pic fixed. The holster's one of mine in black cherry. The gun is sweet--I've been impressed since the first round I fired. It went bang, minimal recoil, and she nailed whatever I aimed at. Oh, yes.

I was looking at a Mitch Rosen or K&D of the same design. You made that holster? I'm curious about all that.

If you don't have some already, I highly recommend the 147gr. HST Tacticals if the pistol will eat them.

My only Glock is an OD G19, it's a sweet li'l 9mm. I'm primarily a 1911 guy but the light weight, light recoil and 15 round mags make for an attractive carry package. Mine came with std. Glock sights so I added Tru-glo TFO nightsights, then a Wolff stainless steel guide rod and a traditional, non-captive recoil spring. I'm happy with it. If you're comfortable with the 9mms capabilities then the G19 makes a really nice choice for a carry weapon. I'm currently carrying Cor-bon 115gr. DPX in mine - expensive but extremely accurate with a nice power factor.

Nice job on the holster BTW, looks like you might have a carrier in leather working some day (sorry, couldn't resist)!

    Touche', Jack!

It doesn't make the "boom" I'm used to with the .357 or .45, but overall, I'm real tickled with it.

Nice 'G'...didn't you hear his little brother, G-26, calling also?

The Glock 19 is a great gun... now you may be hearing the 19 telling you that he would like a little brother... the Glock 26 is an excellent addition to anyone Glock collection.

    You can't buy just one!!!

My G19 sees more daylight than the rest of my Glock family. It's usually a toss up whether the G27 or G19 go with me wherever I go on any particular day and I conceal each of them equally well. My G19 is the sixth Glock I've had.....looking back now, it should have been my first. Better late than never I reckon. Congratulations on your new Glock 19!

I will take no claim to Bruce leaving his wheelie behind in the dresser drawer and shooting this piece of plastic, except to say I think he made a good choice.

I own two "bottomfeeders" and one is a Glock 19. The other is a 1911. Like Bruce, whom I've known for twenty years and honored that he considers me a friend, although he should consider me a fiend, came of age when Revolvers were the "norm".

Now I just have to convince him to add a NY1 Trigger to get that "revolverlike" trigger. I'm glad he likes his new baby, I like mine too. It's nice to have choices. As far as Bruce's Holsters, they work pretty good and I like seeing the progress he's made in making Holsters. I still need to get him to add a reinforced mouthband though.

Congrats on the new baby Bruce, you deserve it.

    Biker
