just brought home A KIMBER ULTRA RAPTOR II

I finally saved enough nickels to go and get my Kimber Ultra Raptor II.
It's killing me that I wasn't able to get to the range today but I will first thing in the morning. I will post a range report ASAP when I get back. Still trying to decide what IWB holster to get. My problem is that I wear a shirt, tie and slacks for most of the day and I have to tuck my shirt. Any other time not a problem but at work(real estate) I have to dress appropriately. Any suggestons from anyone would be helpfull.

Well to start with, post a picture or two for gods sake.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Congrats on the new Kimber! Don't forget to post pictures ASAP.

If you need the option to go tucked, the Answer from Tucker Gunleather is an excellent choice. I've used one to carry my Ultra CDP II for over two years.

We need pics!!! I am not a 45acp fan but the Raptor is a SWEET gun. As for a holster check out my thread on the new Thunderbird from Kevin at K&D.

    Thumbs up Sweet !

Great little piece of hardware. Worth each and every one of those nickels. Mine has been flawless in performance. You will love it once you shoot it. I pack mine in a Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig. Congratulations and enjoy.

Very nice gun. For a holster, you might look at the Minotaur MTAC. Very comfortable. I have one for my 239 and an extra body for my PM-9. Great holster -- very fast turn-around time.

For those of us who are ignorant and have no manners I must ask. How much?

I believe the MSRP is in the neighborhood of $1200. He likely got it for somewhat less.

Of course, he didn't say it was new, but I presume it was.

That is much less than I thought it would cost.

Beautiful pistol, congrats on having good taste!

For holster options, I also have to be tucked at work every day, and I do a lot of client contact time in close quarters. I can only speak to my experience: Tucker Texas Heritage is an all leather holster that is tuckable, and is VEERRRYY comfortable. Great folks there too, but wait time is a bit long. I bought an MTAC used the other day for my Pro Carry (4"), and must admit it is just as comfortable as the Tucker, and you can get it very quickly! I also like the clips on the MTAC, as they're less noticeable than the whale-tails on the Tucker. Both brands offer a velcro clip that attaches to the back of your belt, but my experience with the ones from Tucker was that they tend to be just thick enough to push back into my waist and make all-day wear uncomfortable. Plan to get out the heat gun and play with it soon....

I am also in real estate and chose a Colt New Agent to be my carry gun. I've been looking and looking at holsters. I have a Tucker Heritage that I love but it doesnt have a large body shield which is something I want when I have a nice shirt on. I've looked online at all the top makers and their shields aren't too great either and I don't feel like waiting a long time. I've found a Bianchi IWB that has two leather loops and a body shield. It seems to be in stock a lot of places and its only $68 so if I don't like it I'm not out $150+

It isn't a tuckable holster but a jacket should cover it nicely.

I think the local shop can order me one and tax should be cheaper than shipping. I'll make a post when I get it.

The crossbreeds have a bodyshield that keeps the gun away from the skin,Now back to the raptor when I was looking at the kimbers that was the model that caught my eye not only the design, the grips ,but the name says it all kinda like don't mess with the raptor,I'm just wondering with the checkering on the grips being that agressive how will it feel wearing IWB all day
