Ultimate .45 Striker Concealed Carry Firearm

Let's have a talley. From personal experience what is the best all-around .45 daily carry weapon in a striker fired setup and why? The XD .45 is nice but grip is a bit long. The M&P .45? Glock 21 or 30? Others?

In my opinion, the Glock 30 and 36 are hard to beat. I own both, and carry the G-36 most of the time. The rest of the time I'm carrying the 30. The 30 is also my nightstand gun.

Why: before I purchased these guns I searched quite a bit and came to the conclusion that no other .45 cal firearm offered the advantage of light weight, accuracy, barrel length, and reliability of these two Glocks.

The G-36 has the advantage of thinness and light weight, which make it very concealable. I carry this gun in an M-Tac IWB holster.....extremely comfortable!
The G-30 is conciderably thicker, but carries 10+1 rounds and is very easy on the shooter. I carry the 30 in a Crossbreed holster. Very comfortable!

    My favorite guns:

I like the Glock 36 because of the ease of carry.

Well, I own a lot of GLOCKs, but don't have one yet in .45. IF I did, it would most likely be the G36, due to it's thin size. I most often carry my G27.

Mid sized M&P 45 for me. Great pistol, very intuitive to shoot and nice recoil control. I just don't like the Glock grip angle, but I give the gun props where they're due.

Just switched from my glock 26 to a 36. Surprising what a little thinner means in comfort. I have also grown fond of 45s since my 1911 affair started last winter (Kimber CDP Pro is my winter carry). Love carrying the 36 in my crossbreed even without an undershirt, only leather and smooth plastic ever touches my love handles.

Striker fired guns give up a lot when it comes to the trigger. Its mushy, long, hard and it sucks compared to a hammer fired gun.

I've got a 9mm,.40 and and 2 .45 Glocks and I am not impressed with them.
Ill take a Sig or an HK any day of the week.

If I cant have that I'll go with the XD.

What's the ultimate personal computer, Mac or PC? What is the ultimate cola, Pepsi or Coke?

For your religious question, what wears best on me is the M&P 45c. It's not yet my EDC because Crimson Trace does not have a model to fit it. Until then the M&P 45fs is my EDC.

My favorite use to be the Springfield XD45 Compact until I got a S&W M&P 45 compact. This is to me the best of the M&P series and it feels just right. The XDc is still an excellent choice I just shoot the M&P 45 compact better. Try one and I think you'll be impressed.

I got to give the nod to the Glocks, simply because the others haven't had the time in yet to really be proven.

It's a good thing there are early adopters or nothing would ever be proven. That said, early adopters have additional risk. Oh well.

GLOCK. Period. It just is the best design and overall most proven system.

Glock 30 is about as good as it gets in a striker fired pistol.

I've yet to fire an M&P that had a decent trigger. Loooonng and gritty. No thanks.
