    M&P Compact 9 Outing.

The new M&P9C ran like a champ!

Improvised shooting range in the Idaho outback. Unable
to set up targets, but had a nice dirt backstop.

    3 loads used.

    Win Ranger 127 +P+
    Blazer 115 Alum.
    Hornady 115 JHP Handload.

The gun shot very well. Felt much like a G26 with a
    grip adapter.

Unlike a G26. The M&P didn't feel like it would fly out of my hands.

Recoil seemed light, even with the Ranger load.

No problem with rapid or slow fire with the stock trigger.
Didn't find reset to be a problem, either.

I'm even more impressed with the M&P series now.

Welcome to the world of M&Ps, I have 3 and love them. The compact 9 is a great little pistol and I'm sure you'll get years of service out of it. If you haven't looked at one yet, see what you think of the M&P45 compact which is my favorite. Smith & Wesson I think will regain their prominence in the law enforcement community they was enjoyed with their revolvers.

Love my compact for carry... I agree with the OP about the light recoil. The S&W folks did a great job in making the M&P series such a pleasure to shoot.

Talk about light recoil, now I have the new 5" 9mm Pro Model for IDPA. Good times. Call me a gamer but it makes it more fun!

    M&P 9c Replaced Bersa .380

I've got one about a month ago to replace my .380 which broke and I can't trust it anymore. I tried the Glock 26 and just didn't like the way if felt in my hand. I like the gun so much I'm thinking about a full size 45.

Well at that price grab it. Bud's did have them for 439 but a quick check shows 518 now. So I guess they are going the route of the XD. They were really cheap when they first came out and then jumped in price.

that's a great price... I paid $604 w/ tax 3 weeks ago for mine here in upstate NY....I love it BTW.I did have to move the rear sight though,it was shooting about an inch to the right. It still shoots little high, but I'm gonna try putting the medium backstrap on and see if it lowers my shots at all.The small one does fit my hand better though.

I really like my 40c as a primary gun. I have had non-semi auto shooters have been at how well they shot this gun. Well worth the look for people.

I have the M&P40c and it has been a great carry gun so far. The even better news is that Stormlake is marketing a 9mm/.357 Conversion barrel (Threaded & Unthreaded) this fall! The best of both worlds in my opinion is a 40c with drop in 9mm barrel and some extra mags.

I love my 9C! It's a great carry gun, and fits me well. I got 25/25 when I qualified with it, and it's been with me 24/7 since my permit came through.
