Congrats on a nice carry piece.

I took your post to heart, as it was NBD for me. It would make be reasonable to assume a $300 less gun would not be as good. However I still felt, at SD ranges, and considering how much powder is wasted out the barrel of a 357 MAG and a 2 inch barrel, both were about as deadly and accurate considering SD ranges (with the .38 having a better recovery).

I took it up to the family farm on Saturday and shot (with the help of my wife & brother) 90 of the 130 GR. FMJ Winchester (.38 SPL) rounds and 10 of the 125 GR Gold GDHP (.38 SPL+P).

I did not have the problems you incountered. It was very accurate (esp give my limited exp with small revolvers). At the end of range time, from about 60 to 75 ft. away I was able to hit a small bucket (and get close with the rest). My brother (a better shot then me) was able to hit twice in a row.

There might be something up with your gun (or maybe the ammo). However, I must admit, after 100 rounds, I'm going to wait before I disagree. I did not do as well as I normally do. I'm not sure if it is the gun or me.

Still feel it is a sound, easy to carry, SD weapon.

After just a few days, going from a standard Glock to an J-frame, I'm very happy with the Airweight / J-frame. Instead of IWB Glock, I now carry in front pants pocket.

Trading convenience for less firepower, but it is a lot easier to CC while at work.

I learned that I put my hands in my pockets a lot when I talk. So I find myself with a gun in the hand as I'm talking to 6ft guy of questionable character and also nice little old ladies.
