    Purchased my first 1911

I picked up a SW1911, and so far I'm loving it! I put 300rnds of FMJ and 100rnds of JHP down range, and it functioned flawlessly. Very very accurate! So, it is holster time. Any suggestions for OWB leather high & tight to the body? (for a reasonable price).

    Very nice! I'm carrying a S&W 1911SC as I type this.

Galco Concealable is a good OWB holster. Kramer also makes a nice OWB holster but it's a bit more expensive.

    Congrats!! Good looking Piece.

    BTW, nice 50 stick!

High and Tight leather...? Milt Sparks 60TK comes to mind.

    Enjoy.

    los,
Wow, your the first to notice the Barrett. It belongs to a friend, as I can only afford to feed .308 & .223.

    Congratulations!

That's a great looking weapon. Makes me want to head out the door and hit the range!

For OWB carry of my 1911s, I use Tucker HF1s. The picture on their home page looks exactly like my set -- holster, belt and double mag pouch in black cherry w/ cross-cut stamp and a Texas concho.

I'd also recommend looking at HBE's Pancake. Eric currently has a really fast turnaround time on some beautiful custom gunleather. I have one of his Com IIIs for IWB carry of my Browning Hi-Power. Great workmanship!

On that warning about getting more...
I've been eyeballing a SW1911PD in commander size, and the Colt series 70 reproduction 1911A1 looks great to me. My wife is cool, she carries a SW mod 60 .357 & a Glock 19, but she would string me up if I bought another right away.

A relatively quick and well-made OWB I can recommend is Mernickle's PS6. I got their PS6 rig with belt and double mag pouch.

I use them for IDPA. Typically on the street I carry it IWB in a Sparks Heritage Limited.

Congrats and welcome to the .45 club. Nice looking pistol!! I am a big S&W revolver fan and might try out one of their 1911's.
I recommend HBE Leatherwork Askins style for OWB. Fantastic holster all the way around. Happy shopping.

Congrats on that new 1911. Watch out 1911's can become addictive.
