LCP at gun show

Went to the local gun show this Saturday. I saw one LCP for $379. I went to another table to see if they had one, they didn't, I then went back to the first table the LCP was sold for $379. The guy said he had sold five in the first two hours of the show. That is totally nuts, no way am I gonna pay $410.00 out the door for an LCP. I'll wait for the hoopla to die down.

I almost bought a keltec 380.

Question: What is the difference between the keltec 380 and the LCP? I hear that they have a good warrantee but that does me no good if I have to send them back "overnight".

I did buy a Bianchi 7 Shadow II Holster for my Kahr CW9.
The fit and finish is very good. Showed it to a couple of friends and got two thumbs up all around.

This weekend I made up my mind to start carrying as often as possible. I started wearing a snug dark cotton t-shirt tucked in and a dark colored loose polyester shirt over that. I tried to buy a shirt with a variable pattern print to cover the holstered Kahr and it works. I bought a couple of the loose poly shirts at TJ Maxx both were originally $36 and I got them for $5 each, and their light and cool.

Yeah, thats pretty high for an LCP. I paid less than 300.

KelTec has to have a good warranty....most of them are sent back for warranty work.

Bass Pro has them for sale for $299.00 plus tax I've got one and so far like it a lot.

They're selling them for $379 because they can. This little pocket rocket is in high demand. I recall paying a little over $300 for mine.

Matches my experience. Last show I went to, one LCP, priced at $100 over what I'd been quoted by my dealer.

I am very happy with the kel tec and have never had an issue. Most of the folks that carry one seem to be on the same page. Go with the kel tec if the $'s are an issue and you can't get a better deal on the LCP.

My P3AT is a first generation and has not had a problem. It doesn't particularly like Rem. green box, but have never had a problem with anything else. I carry it daily and have complete confidence in it.
