New option added Glock 27, GLOCK23 OR GLOCK23C?

Hello everyone, Thanks for all your awesome info on my earlier question ( taurus, glock or H and K).

I have decided to go Glock, I went and looked closer at the 3 today, I didnt like the mechanics of the h and k, Thought the pull on the taurus trigger pull was to lite for a conc and carry weapon with adrenaline pumping.

I am now down to the glock 27, and a new option of the glock 23 or the glock 23c.

I am interested in all oppinions. I am currious about the new c feature on the glocks. Anyone have experience with it and positive or negative effects?

    Thanks again,

    Scott

Skip the "C" feature if it going to be a carry gun.

My personal recommendation to you would be the Glock G23, but if you pick ANY Glock at all, you won't be going wrong!

I, however, concur with Schwebel on the use of a compensated handgun for concealed carry. Those vented gases DO reduce muzzle climb, but they also can play havoc to your night-vision and can otherwise project particles into your eyes IF you're shooting from a retention position.

'C' stands for competition in my book. No good reason for a 'C' model unless it's $100 cheaper than the standard model, and you plan on competition.

    My every day carry is a G27 in a Minotaur M-Tac Comp-Tac : Products.

Before that I carried a Beretta - this Glock is amazing, comfortable, and in the M-Tac I hardly know its there.

My EDC gun is the Glock 27 with a pearce plus 1 extension and for spare I have a Glock 23 mad with the A&G grip spacer. I sometimes opt to carry it with the G23 mag with the spacer and another G23 mag with spacer for spare. I also have a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel and G26/G19 mags for range practice. It's getting to be expensive shooting the 40 S&W for range practice. So far no glitches with the 9mm conversion barrel and the 9mm mags. I can't give you any input with the G23 since I don't own one yet but planning to add in my collection.

There is nothing new about the "C" guns... and avoid them like the plague for CCW. I also highly suggest the 9mm versions over the 40.

For a new shooter, I have to recommend the larger of the guns. The G23 (or G19 if you take my advice) will be much easier to learn on.

Glock 27 is my daily carry pistol. Only thing I would like that comes close is the Glock 26.

I agree with the above statement.

G27 here. Just seems the perfect package of power, capacity and size for me. No extension on my stock magazine.
I also have a couple 15 round mags with spacers that give a full grip.

I carry a Glock 23 every day at work. I know it will work when I want it to work.

My off duty carry guns are a Smith & Wesson M&P 45, a CZ 75 P01 (9mm) and a Bersa Thunder 380. I rotate my carry gun depending on my dress and the weather.

GLock in an M Tac is my choice. Which one do you shoot better, the G 27 or the G23? The G27 recoil can be a bit snappy, but I like it.

    Forget the C model.

I have a Glock 23 and really like it. However, I still regret not getting a 27 at the time...was talked out of it.
