A Subtle Set of Short 9s.

Well I'm sure some of you remember my thread: http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...ng-ponies.html

Well my set of steel framed modern Colt .380s is complete.

After a too long lay-a-way period "Blue" is at home in the safe keeping his smaller siblings company.

Not too shabby, original box and papers, gun is from 1988 and like new, box is a little worse for wear, but that's OK.

So now I have the following:

    1: Colt Gov't .380 Blued
2: Colt Mustang +II Stainless Steel
    3: Colt Mustang Satin Nickel

Do I now start adding Pocketlites or try and find a good deal on a 1903 in .380??

**Edited to add: That's not the original users manual, I'll have to try and find one of correct vintage...

Very nice JD. You could even expand your collection of #1-3,collecting variations of model and finish.

You should be ashamed of yourself with that new baby on the way, (or is he here yet), buying another Colt for the collection.

Ok, so it is a nice piece and fits nicely with the others, I guess I am just feeling a bit jealous.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I dunno, it was hard getting these three, given a large enough time frame and even larger budget, sure, but I think I need to find a 1903 first, then go for some pocketlites...

    Egad, that's nice!

I'm just glad it's a gun show weekend, so I can go and look for a few things myself.

Get the 1903. I have fond memories of this piece, as it was the first gun I ever fired as a young shaver. Of course, my memories should have nothing to do with your decision, but you did ask...

Both...you've come this far in your collection, why stop now. Go for the pocket-lites first.
    BTW...nice collection !

    Hi JD;

Now that's a proper .380 gun. I only have a Kel Tec P3AT. The little Colt can cover some concealed carry needs and offer real shootability for fun entertainment at the range.
