Well, last night was the first time I carried outside the house. I carried a G17 in a CTAC IWB at 4:00. I wore it outside a tucked in undershirt and under an untucked light button-up shirt. As far as I could tell in the mirror, I wasn't printing at all, and nobody ran screaming in terror when I was out in public.
I plan on getting a smaller gun for carry for the summer, but the G17 works pretty well. Of course, I am not the smallest guy either (6'1", 230 lbs).

    Glock 22 here.
    Undershirt: usually 100% white cotton.

IWB holster: I like Kydex for summer time.

Over-shirt: Dark color or really loud Tshirt or Hawaiian Type shirt.

I have never been approached or seen anyone run away from me any more than usual.

A lot has to do with bearing. I look like a LEO. Short hair, clean shaven.Clothes than are clean. My kids are with me a lot. I just don't look like a threat. Not that 99% of people are looking.

When I used to be able to do so, I carried the Kimber Pro-Carry (has full sized grip) IWB at 4:20. In winter it was no problem but in the summer I became a "native" of Hawaii with the Hawian shirts (you know, the ones they sale to tourists lol). The other way is to wear a T-shirt under a pull over untucked shirt (the ones that are normally worn this way).

But, I've had to go to a fanny pack and ankle carry these past couple of months. I'm down to 140lbs soak and wet and have no hips anymore (surprisingly, love handles helped to support the weight of the gun when I had them.... I wonder if that is what they were for lol).

That's why I'm overweight, it helps hide the .45!

I carry a Full Size 1911 alot. It's not always comfortable but thats the price you pay to be safe with the weapon you shoot best. When I carry my Delta Elite I feel as safe as can be even if I have to adjust my holster every hour.

I carry a full size STI .45 with longdust cover, my holster is Uncle Mike's belt holster or a locally made kydex holster speacially made for my STI .45. I wear loose polo shirt or large baseballshirt to conceal my gun.

Usually when I carry my 1911 its in a cheap old Uncle Mikes Neoprene holster IWB. Most of the time I just cover it with a baggy T-Shirt or a Polo of some sort.
CCW is not only a right its a responsability.
