I know this is a long shot, but does anybody have a pic of both of these comparing the size? Also, if anyone has any real world feedback from someone who owns both or has shot both and tell me what you think, or which one you would recommend.
thanks

I have shot both. The trigger is much easier to manipulate on the glock given its shorter and much more tactile reset. Magazine and spare part availabilty is not even a contest. I found the 36 much more controllable than the polymer Kahr.
Both platforms have had a reputation of being a bit persncickety in the first few hundred rounds of operation. Having shot them side by side, I would go glock for the reasons above.(DISCLAMER- I own 3 glocks and it is my #1 carry platform).
I haven't actually shot the Kahr, but I did handle it when I was considering a carry arm. For some reason, my finger seemed to get pinched on the Kahr trigger, between the trigger and frame. I didn't like it.
Bottom line is I have a Glock-36 which is my ccw and I love it. It's light weight, reliable, accurate, and I'm glad I own it. It's my favorite gun!

Look for an ad by Kaur comparing the two. No picture comparison, but according to the ad:
Length Glock 6.77" Kaur 5.67" or 16% shorter
Height Glock 4.76" Kaur 4.49" or 6% smaller
Width Glock 1.13" Kaur 1.01" or 11% slimmer
Weight (no mag) Glock 20.1 Kaur 17.3 or 14% lighter
Having said that, I chose the Glock 36 as my primary carry. I have nothing against Kaur, and as previously posted, you can't beat Glock parts and service. Having a Glock warranty centre in my town doesn't hurt either.![]()

I previously owned a Kahr P45, and currently own a G36. I echo what dojpros said. The G36 handles much better in regards to trigger pull, recoil control. Don't forget on paper the Glock has greater height, but you have to factor in those stupid mag floorplates that extend out on the Kahr. IMO, they are equally concealable. I like Kahr's (primarily their 9's), but the G36 is just an all-round better pistola.

Never had a Kahr...but my Glock-36 is about as fine and dependable a weapon as one would want...very easy to conceal, it's my Harley EDC.
Stay armed...with a G-36...stay safe!

well, I actually got to hold a g36 and get a feel for it. Its definitely thinner than my XD9sc, which is good. Im gonna go to my local gunstore/range and shoot each if possible. But if not, I will go with the Glock. I wasnt going to buy it from Academy, since they are always around 10% higher than my local gunstore. I had also been wanting to check out the Para Ord Carry9. Man, the one they had in the showcase had bent rear sights, it wouldnt go back into battery when releasing the slide. The LDA trigger with 1911 safety is sweet, but reliability is my number one priority. Plus, it was $800. Anyway, thanks for the input guys.

I have read of reliability issues with the 3" 1911 type arms. The reliability of the Glock is just incomparable!
I've owned two 3" 1911's (Colt & Kimber) that have been junk. My G36 has never failed.

I prefer the Kahr DAO trigger over any striker fired pistol. I love Glocks too, but my Kahr MK9 trigger is far superior in my opinion (and the price tag usually reflects that). Of course mine is an MK9, not a 45, but just throwing in my 2 cents.
