I've done it, I've went against my own concerns and added a D/A, S/A in my group of DAK/DAO carry guns. Can't help it though, I really like my new P229 and its very, very accurate. Anyone else with the same concerns? Any teachers out there with words of wisdom about mixing platforms? I know how to use the decocker and have had no AD at the range...yet. :embarassed:
I really like the P239 and originally owned 2, one in 9mm and one in .40. Since the .40 was a little bigger and heavier, I traded it for a new P229 Gen2 with 12 rounds (instead of 7+1). There's not that much of a size difference between the two models other than the P229 is a little thicker with the double stack mag. If you ask me there is no better carry gun than the P239, super reliable and very accurate. My 9mm P239 DAK is here to stay.
