HK and Drop-In Conversions Barrels?

Are there any online Vendors that would supply say a .357sig barrel for a .40sw platform or vice a versa also what about mags? Questions are regarding the P2000 Platform?

Best place to check would be HK Pro Go to forums ad check around. I have seen some aftermarket barrels before, but I don't remember where it was. If I remember, I will post it.

Actually, one mag should handle both calibers since the .357 Sig is just a necked down .40 S&W.

I've been looking for a .357 barrel for my P2000 for a while. There are currently no vendors that I am aware of that carry them. I have looked diligently. Very rarely, one will pop up for sale over at H&K Forum. But you would have to be real hawk to pick it up. The mags are interchangeable. Good luck!

Wonder why Bar-Sto doesn't manufacture the drop-ins unless there are some sort of proprietory legality that I am not aware of?

The factory .357SIG barrels interchange with .40S&W in P2000s AND USP Compacts. The .40 mags work with either. The full sized USP is, on the other hand, a separate issue.

E-mail me off line if you have a full sized .40 and absolutely have to have a .357. Mine works fine but I’ll tell you in advance that it was a PIA, the factory announced the model and withdrew it and that’s all I have to say about that.

Jarvis has the .357 Sig for the USPc but I do not know if it will work for the P2000

Jarvis Inc. offers handgun barrels & 22 conversion units.

No it will not. I'm one who was able to buy a 357Sig barrel for my P2K. I also have a USPc and it does not fit, mags do but not barrels.
I got on the HKforum and they said they will produce barrels in a couple of months.

I actually contacted H&K to ask about a .357 conversion for my .40 P2000sk. Their stock answer was."We do not recommend any change in the original set up." If it works in Sigs and Glocks I don't know why it wouldn't in H&K.

I don't know why they would say that. I bought a brand new HK P2000 that came with the .357 Sig and .40 S&W barrels. They still have them on sell at Academy Sports here for like $800. Comes with both barrels and 3 mags.
