Heh~! Sure, why not. My most often carried is a full size 1911, the Wilson Combat CQB (black over green, with Diamondwood grips, as shown on the web site~or not. I see they've updated the site, showing different types of grips, and color combinations).

Heres mine, still getting used to carrying a 1911. My past carry guns have been DA/SA decocker models.

Whoa! I'm surprised at how big some of these CC .45's are.
Some people I know talk about their .45's but when I see them out and about - they are really carrying their .38 snubby or something else small in caliber and size instead.
Rock on 45! My personal favorite caliber. Of course there are times - not very often - depending on the situation - when I have to revert to my .38 but not often.
I also have to admit - as good as the .38 is and certainly better than nothing - I don't feel as prepared \ comfortable when I have it as opposed to my .45.....

I carry an M&P .45 Compact in Desert Earth IWB, as you have probably surmized by my User ID.This weapon is so new that S&W doesn't have it on their web site yet. I'll edit this post and place a link here whenever it shows up.
Hi, by the way, I'm new here--this is my first post!![]()
here's mine:
Colt New Agent - Ozark Guns
I hear some guys talk about the Colt New Agent as a BUG
For a smaller guy like me, it's a great EDC. Took years to get to this point but now I have one good carry rig, from an HBE IWB holster, to the KirkPatrick Leather gun belt, to the Wilson combat mags, etc. It's just sweet all the way around.
I too love the .45 and feel like a load out of 8 + 7 is more than adequate for my current lifestyle/risk level. I do still love a J frame .38 and carry it alot when it's not convenient for me to wear a cover garment.
Those cold new agents are pretty cool. How is reliability? I looked at one and they are neat little guns. The "sights" didn't do it for me though.
I carry a Glock 30. No light while CCing though.
Here's a G30 at Able's.

Here is my favorite .45 for CC - a Kimber Pro CDP and a Kramer belt scabbard holster:
