    Glock 17 "L" questions

I came across a posting on Craigs-List for a Glock 17L. The guy wants to trade it for a Win 700. I have another rifle I was thinking of trading him but I digress.

I looked at the Glock site, the 17L isn't listed as a current model.

    Glock FAQ's says the following:
The Glock FAQ [Glock Model Guide]

Anyone have any insight on this model? Does it being out of production make it more valuable? Etc...

I'm not a competitve shooter but you can never have too many pistols.

I think they are still being made...I know the last Glock Autopistols magazine had it listed as an available model. I was looking at one at a gunshow yesterday--I think it was about $650.

It's a 6" barreled G17; reliable, accurate, and fun. They seem a little nose-heavy until you insert the mag. Then, the balance is pretty nice. They also cycle slow; if you're used to shooting a regular G17, you'll probably notice it.

If I hadn't gotten my G34, I'd probably have one.

I saw a new one at the local shop about a month ago. They are not out of production but they aren't all that popular either. When they introduced the 34/35 line they pretty much killed it off with the exception of collectors and for those who go "Cool! look how long that thing is!"

You can still find a new G17L. It would appear they are a limited production run though and a bit higher priced than other models. For the right persons, a limited production Glock would be very desirable.

I thought Craigslist had a no guns policy like ebay.
