My Gunshow Find: NAA Pug .22 Magnum

Went to a gun show Saturday morning in Valley Forge, PA and picked up this little pocket rocket:

It's a North American Arms PUG; a .22 magnum 5-shot mini revolver. I think I'll use it for summer shorts and t-shirt carry.

The name “Pug” may have derived from the
Latin Pugnus, meaning Fist. With this in
mind, the NAA Pug can be characterized as
multum in parvo (“much in little”) in reference
to the small and convenient size.
Squat and sturdy like its namesake dog, The
NAA Pug is chambered in 22 Magnum and
sports a 1” heavy barrel. You can count on
this stocky companion to deliver a bite even
    worse than his bark.
    Slightly oversized pebble-textured rubber
grips enable the handler to keep a firm
“leash” on this pocket-sized puppy. The XS
sighting system provides a quick sight
picture and will enable the handler to direct
    the bite.
The pedigree is pure North American Arms.

I saw one of those at the last gunshow I visited. Nice little chuck of steel. I would have bought it if it had had the tritium insert front sight. Well made little gun. Congrats...!

Yes. They are SA only... and you can get them with the tritium sight. They also have a slot in between full on cylinder alignment so you can carry them with the hammer off location of the round for safety. You do however have to remove the entire cylinder to reload them.

What an awesome piece. Was looking at them on Gunbroker right after I saw your thread.

    Have you fired it yet?

Damn, that would make a great piece to stash in a pocket.

Great purchase!!! I think that I need to get one too. Really like the idea of .22WMRF in such a small package.
    Talk's cheap and I ain't buying any.

I have a little older version with a longer barrel. I have upgraded the grips and had a small custon holster built. Fun to shoot, if mag rounds were not so costly.

I always wondered why they have a sight, I would only use one at contact range.
