My CW9 has been flawless. Heard that the 40 has more issues maybe due to the hotter round. I like the Kahr, easy to carry undetected even under just a t shirt.

I have an Kahr MK9 that provides flawless operation although a bit heavy for a pocket carry.

It's a decent gun for the money, but to be honest I think you'd be better served with a CW9. The .40 S&W round is a handful in a gun that light and small. Also keep in mind that you cannot get night sights on the CW series since the front sight is pinned in.

I just sold my CW40 at a gun show and picked up an MK9.

I have the CW9 and the CW45 and a friend has the CW40. He has been happy with his and I am very pleased with both of mine. He had some fail to feed with some range reloads when he first got it, but none with factory. To me the .45 is easier to shoot than the .40, they hold the same no. of rounds, and around here the ammo costs the same. Both of mine have been flawless and I am sold on the Kahrs.

I have a P-40 that I have carried for several years. It has been flawless and it is so easy to conceal using a MTAC holster.

Its my least favorite Kahr, if it were my dime I wouldn't buy a CW and stay away from the .40. With that said, it isnt a bad gun.

    Thanks guys!

This thread is why I ask BEFORE buying!

I think I will wait until Taurus releases its forthcoming PT-709 slim and see what that's like. I just can't quite stretch to one of the higher level Kahr's right now - have 2x Ak's to finish and want a shotty too. Worried that country will go to crap in next 6 months and want to be ready...

To P40 or not to P40

My son carried a Kahr P9, changed to the P40, changed to a small Kimber 45. When he went backto the P40, he found it difficult to control and now has been back with his P9 for a couple of years.
I have been carrying the P9 IWB under my right elbow for 4 years with NO malfunctions, NO discomfort and little or no printing. I no longer look for any other carry pistol, although I'm sure there are lots of them out there.
If it fits, feels good, works well, fits your budget, and hits the target, why change. So I recommend the P9.
