    Whats Wrong With Me?

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Glock 30SF with night sights, and a holster. Now I find myself wanting to buy a new 1911, I've been looking at the Kimber Crimson Carry Pro. The only thing stopping me from buying it is I feel "bad" because I just got the Glock a little while ago. Is this normal? Should I just go ahead and have 2 primary carry guns? What do I do?!?!?

But it sure is fun shopping for a new gun.

Man, you are really weird...you only want to buy a 'second' gun...

Usually this 'firearm' effect creates an urge to buy several at the same time...you better contact a doctor ASAP...

Buy a safe and a get a big holster box...

The 1911 bug has bitten you. Dispose of the "tupperware" and scratch the itch.

If you are married....it is the guilt you carry when you have to tell your wife you need a new gun...and mags...and holster...and ammo...and a mag carrier...

    Perfectly natural to want more...

The only caveat I would add is that, for me, I prefer all of my carry guns to be of similar operation - that is, I would not switch between a SAO (like the 1911) and a striker fired/DAO (like the Glock). Again, this is just my preference, but I don't want to have to wonder - at the moment of truth - if my thumb safety goes up or down, if I even have a safety, what sort of trigger pull weight to expect, and so forth. I have enough trouble remembering the basics... :)
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

You might as well trade in the Glock towards the purchase of the Kimber if you have to. Sure, it's an expensive lesson to learn, but once you get that 1911 itch, well, if you don't scratch it, it will drive you insane.

And, I would say the only thing wrong with you, is most of us didn't get that first twinge of guilt until we were in double digits.

I just purchased a Glock 23, I have a Colt 1911. Now my girlfriend is wanting a New Agent, we found one for $700.

So I won't be surprised if she shows up with it...

    Get the Kimber!

If you like the Kimber half as much as I like mine, you'll sell the Glock. (I have nothing against Glocks)

You can't have enough once you get started.

It's like the old Lays commercial...you can't eat just one.
You need a whole bag to satisfy the appetite!

It can be expensive when get a "whole bag" of guns

You're suffering from GAS...Gun Acquisition Syndrome. There is no cure! The best you can do is get through it one day at a time..." I will not buy a gun today!"

Buying guns (after the first one) generally has nothing to do with need. Then again, I tell my wife that it's like golf -- you can't play with just one club. You need different ones for different purposes. Of course, I use the same line for fishing rods, knives, cars, etc.
