Let her try them both, then let her pick, then you'll be a good guy. Who knows maybe even get a reward.

I have a female friend who carries the Bersa. It's been reliable. Haven't shot a LCP but she shoots Bersa better than P3at.

My wife carries a Bersa CC. She loves it. It's a bit bigger and heavier than the lcp, but in my opinion that just adds to it's manageability. Now that the wife is overseas I find myself carrying her little Bersa more and more. It truly is a pleasure to carry. Get her a set of custom grips to "make it hers" and she will be all set. As far as reliability, well the Bersa has a track record, the LCP is too new for me, and has yet to prove itself. You will always hear of some people having problems with every gun out there, Bersa included, but the LCP is brand new, too new to establish itself. Bersa has been around since the 60's and used to supply the Argentinian federal police and the Argentinian armed forces. I have to say, I love the Bersa, it is in my never ever sell list.

My bersa 380 has been totally reliable. I think the bersa will be easier on her shooting due to the size and weight difference. Just remember, it is her gun, she will be the one carrying and shooting it, so it has to be something she is comfortable with.

If she likes the Bersa then she will be more apt to carry and practice with it. That would make it much more effective than one she is not comfortable with and never practices with and leaves at home.

Any reason she can't shoot something bigger, 9mm or 40sw? Some of the lades even shoot a 45.

What ever she wants is what she should get as long as it is an informed choice. Has she shot anything bigger than the .380?

At my CWP classes, many of my students/customers have brought the various Bersa pistols and they have all been very reliable. I would try to find a 9mm in the same size since she is already carrying one of the larger .380 pistols and see if she likes it. I tend to believe in the bigger bullet idea.

If she doesn't choose, you may just end up with another 'safe' gun.

The Bersa is a great gun and my wife loves shooting it. It is much easier to shot than any LCP or P3AT with a much better trigger and grip.

I would not worry at all with her shooting a Bersa.

The only difference between Bersa and the other manufacturers out there is the advertising budget. Bersa does little to almost no advertising, I have seen a Ruger LCP ad in almost every gun magazine I have read.
