    Colt 32

I know,There will be some that will say that this is not enough but I think it will be enough for backup. It is a old pistol that my grandfather gave me before he died. Colt-32 Auto-Made in Hartford Conn USA-Serial# 9698- Pat,d April 20 1897 I will have it checked out before I use it for backup. It feels real good and can,t wait to fire it.

I like the old Colts. I want one in the 32 like yours and one of the little 25's as well. Very nice addition to the stable.

    Colt 32

Nice pistol. I shot a Colt 32 years ago, a very smooth shooting pistol. I wish I still had the gun. I think it would be a great backup or even a reasonable CCW gun. I carry a P32, I would love a 32 with a longer barrel.

I prefer the balistics of the 32 over the 380.

You didn't ask, but if you're interested, your Colt was made in 1905.

A good little piece, flat, hides easily in a shoe top.
A friend's grandfather and his buddy each had one in their shoe tops as young men as they drove coast to coast.
I believe it was in New York State that they were surprised how much their pistols were admired. They did not know about the Sullivan Act.
When they went through Oklahoma they were pursued, harassed and harried by dogs when going through an Indian reservation, so as they were leaving the reservation they opened up on the dogs.
They were pursued for a distance by runners incensed that their dogs were shot, but the flivver outdistanced them handily.
