Welcome to the world of Glock.
They aren't very pretty, but damn if they don't just work.
I've had a few, and have yet to pull the trigger and one not go bang.

Dang. I thought you were going to say that you fell in love with the girl over the counter who sold you the Glock...or she was at the range....or, or, or whatever.
My EDC is a G26. You will be very happy with it.
Preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse or Rapture....whichever comes first.
If that Taurus is new try vigorously cleaning it. Taurus seems to use alot of a sticky protectant (possibly cosmoline not sure) that fouls things up. You realy have to get at the inerds of your revolver. I just bought a pt145 and cleaned with q-tips for about an hour and I can still see some.
Nice move...but you can't have just one!
My EDC is a Kimber, but I mistakenly picked up a G-36...brought that home, then a G-26 was the next to follow...
Stay armed...gotta' love a Glock...stay safe!

Hard to beat a G26 for carry. I love mine.
It got a nice cleaning when I brought it home because it did have residue all over it. However, the issue is there is quite a bit of scoring on the extractor and the frame where they meet (see pics)... The extractor was scored so much, it was holding the center pin down which was preventing the thumb piece from pushing back. Does that make sense?

I have a question, is this typical "break in" behavior? Should I put 100 more rounds through it and see if it continues? I just really don't want to be without my friend for a few weeks unnecessarily.
Do you have pics of your Ultra-Lite you could share that shows similar wear?

Wow now that is freaky! Well...lifetime warranty
Not a Glock fan, but I will say it is a quality weapon, reliable and will take a ton of rounds thru it. I dont think you will be sorry.

An HK USP Compact 45 beats a G26, IMO.![]()

When I think Revovlers I think Smith, when I think 1911 I think Colt(and Les Baer, and Caspian and...)but when I think of ALWAYS GO BANG AUTOS..............I THINK GLOCK. The 26 will become a favorite I promise. Now there is nothing wrong with a NO-LOCK Smith J-frame as a BUG. THEY GO BANG ALWAYS TOO!!![]()

Don't buy a Glock until you have shot a Springfield XD. Not banging on Glock but I think the Springfield is an overall better gun.
Hmm... judging by the pics it looks like a machining tolerance thing. That one may have slipped through QC. I didn't have anything like that with my 850CIA. I'd call Taurus and explain the situation and see what they say. That looks to be a warranty issue. Good choice on the Glock, solid weapon.
