Man, I have a heck of a lot of really great pistols, mostly 1911's along with a variety of other types. And, yes, I agree on every point about the G19. Incredible combination of high capacity, stone reliability, excellent accuracy, easy shootability, convenient compactness, durability, economy, defense prowess... it is the perfect combination of all of these factors. Of all the guns I have available to carry, my G19 is carried by far the most... stoked with Gold Dot 124 gr. +P ammo.

Before I had my ccw I had two G19s and traded them for
other guns (because of the cost of the new guns) .
now that I carry I wish I had them back.
they were shot more often and better than the guns that
    replaced them.
    I am now back in black , carrying a G33 , but I may
still buy a G19 to carry as well ,because they were so great.

I traded my Glock 19 in on an HK compact and while I'm very pleased with the HK I wish I would have just paid the cash difference and kept the Glock. Im going to have to buy another one.

The G19 was so far ahead of its time, I mean just look at all the striker fired polymer Glock inspired copies that are out there now. I have alot of respect for them, but I'm still a Glock hater....lol.

I just recently acquired my G19.

During a force on force class, I realized that I wanted a "point and shoot" gun and not have to worry about grip safeties or thumb safeties.

    Point and Shoot = Glock.

The hardest part about going Glock is facing all those "told ya' so" comments from all my Tupperware loving buddies.

I even have 3 happy sticks (33 rounders).
fortiter in re, suaviter in modo (resolutely in action, gently in manner).

    Almost Perfect

I too love my G19, especially with my lasergrips. However, nothing is totally perfect including my G 19. It's only flaw is about a fourth of the ejected hulls hit me in the top of the head, chest, face or somewhere I really prefer not to be hit with hot brass. My G27 slings everything straight out to the side. Anybody else have this problem?

Those are love taps. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The Glock 19 is one fine 9mm, but other pistols like the CZ P-01/RAMI and
even M&Ps seem to be as good.

That is just my personal experience.

Great post. You summed it up very well. The 19 was my first Glock and still one of my favorites. She is a 2nd generation and I'll never get rid of her.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
You cannot choose the conditions for a gunfight, so train in all conditions!
