CC options at work
I am looking for the best options for carrying at work. Here is the situation:
I am 5' 11" and about 175 lbs with 32 in waist. Work clothes consist of jeans/kakis or shorts, and t-shirts or polo (both tucked in). I live in sunny FL (read Hot 90% of the year) so jackets or vests are out of place here. I work in retail, lots of moving, bending, reaching, ect...
Think of me as a blank slate. I am looking for options from what to carry and the best methods of carry. Thanks in advance and pics of similar set-ups would be helpful..

Here in Tampa Bay.
I use a Blade-Tech UCH its a SOB IWB as long as you wear a belt with your shorts should work.

It seems like my solution to every "how can I carry " thread is "Ruger LCP in a SmartCarry...Guess this thread is no different. Lightweight, small, extremely concealable, but there when you need it.

Smart carry can be uncomfortabel for a lot of bending on smaller sized frames.
I recommend Ruger LCP in pocket. If you can go "untucked" then an iwb is the obvious answer with a flat, short butted gun.

A P-3AT in the front pocket...keep the EDC (a .45) locked in the car.
Stay armed...always...stay safe!

What does the company policy state? Are you permited to carry? I know most retail facilities don't let employees carry.

I'm in the same position as you. I carry a Walther PPS w/extra mag and Ka-Bar LDK in a SmartCarry. Don't need to conceal my flashlights. Work policy is no carry. My policy is live another day.

Rough Out pocket carry on of my Kel-tecs or Smartcarry for a larger gun.

I can carry and move around with a 1911 Gov't under a tucked-in polo in my Comptac C-TAC. I've a 33 inch waist. It's kind of hard to say this because I'm not willing to back it up, but "I know it works."
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

Thanks for the advice so far. I was leaning towards smartcarry but looking for other alternatives.
As far as carry policy at work, we are a small store and I work directly for the owner. We don't really have a formal policy, so in my mind concealed is concealed.

I don't usually have to tuck in my shirts, but have had to on occasion. Tucked or untucked, my Crossbreed Supertuck is always comfortable to wear.
Admittedly, the actual tucking bit is a little annoying, but I imaging that would be the case with most tuckable holsters.

I wear a suit to work so I am therefore forced to carry in a tuckable IWB holster. I carry a Taurus .38 in a DeSantis 'Tuck This' and I alternate with a LCP in a High Noon Holster 'Hidden Alley.' Both holsters work well. Some people will say that tuckable holsters are not effective due to the slow draw time, but practice makes perfect. Good luck.

I would like to see a picture of this setup. I am looking at the CTAC or MTAC for a 5" 1911. I would like to see it tucked in.
