I've considered carving a front sight blade out of (the correct thickness of) bright yellow or orange micarta & pinning it back into the factory base of my SP101. Then I could shave the top until it matches the POI of my preferred carry load. I've used micarta in knife handles before & it's plenty tough. Any thoughts?
