Sometimes it pays to pay attention. I walked into my local toy store (read as gunshop/gunsmith) on Sat. to have some work done on my carbines. A gent is there trading in his S&W Mod 60 (no dash). To look at it one would swear it had never been fired. I mentioned to the owner Jim that I'd owned one in the past and had seller remorse.
"I'm just taking this in now, come see me Tue and make an offer.", he said.
Well I'm "done" buying guns this year I tell myself and I walk away. Then I see Jim writing up the receipt for the gent. I know what the trade in value was now.
Approx half an hour later Jim, who noticed me being nosey, said, "Since you know exactly what I paid for it, make me an offer."
As you can see, he accepted my offer. Based upon my looking at prices online I got me a great deal.
