I fall in love with my HK more every day

I am in LFI1 and decided to take a P2K with the idea of really getting to know it. I carried some version of a 1911 for 30 years and have been reluctant to change. I had Bill Springfield do a trigger job on it. My gosh does this thing shoot. Not a sign of a hiccup. It asks you to grip with a wedge grip, point naturally, and says shoot me more, please. Oh don't bother to clean me either unless you want to cause I'm still going to go bang.

I feel the same about my P2000s, one DA/SA, one LEM. I read about a long time LEO that selected H&K because as he put it, they just go bang everytime.

The one problem I have with my P2000 is I tend to get my thumb on the slide lock lever which keeps it from locking open on the last shot. I don't think I've ever had any kind of mal, misfire, FTF, nothing, with my P2000s or my USP.

H&K makes some nice guns, but they're kind of spendy. Glocks and XDs are priced just right for people like me LOL! I'm glad to hear you found what works for you though.

Sorry to say that "You are hooked."

Aren't P2Ks great? I've got over 2,000 rounds through it and 0, zip, nada failures. And is it ever accurate! It's my EDC and my IDPA gun. I've not shot anything else for over a year and a half.

3feathers, if you don't mind my asking, what kind of trigger work did Mr. Springfield do?

I love the USP 40sw! Fires perfectly every time.

I have put at least 10,000 rounds through this gun with not a single failure.

Just traded off an XDsc40 at a recent gun show when I saw a HK USPc40 for sale. Oh my! Yea it was more money but what a gun. I thought my Kimber UCII 45 was my primary carry and my "baby" but this HK is making me re-think that decision.

Of all the compact pistols out there, I truly enjoy the HK P2000SK best. What kills it, for me, is that I simply cannot manipulate the magazine release. Doesn't matter which finger, which angle or whether I move the gun in my hand to do so. I simply cannot reliably use it. Pity, 'cause it is such a fine gun otherwise. Reliable, accurate, slim, reasonable capacity ... but no ability to swap magazines under duress (for me). *sigh*

If HK could have a "traditional" (ie, 1911-style) magazine release button, I'd have two of them right now.

I want a P2000sk but I will wait for a P30sk (fingers crossed). P7M8 will do the job just fine for now.
HK. Because you suck. And we hate you.

+1 on the P2000. I have a P2000 and a P2000SK in 40SW with LEM trigger and they are my most favorite firearms I own(Even more than my Sig's). They just feel right when shooting them. I did also have a bit of trouble with the mag release but have since figured it out and can swap mags as fast I can with a 1911 style mag release.

IMO, you really need to use *both* your thumb *and* fore finger together to release the mag on the SK. You try that?
