    Bersa 380cc range test

Bersa 380CC, with all black finish.

The test was for feed and firing for an assortment of ammo
as well as to check the point of aim.

Bersa 380CC (New) I removed it from the box and cleaned it
I did no buffing or polishing
The fit and finish was very good for a gun that cost $255.00
In fact it was as good as some costing two times as much.

The ammo fired was Remington 380 Automatic, 95 Grain , Metal Case
    (MC) (50 rounds),Winchester 380 auto,95 grain,Brass Enclosed Base(BEB)
    (50 rounds),Fiocchi 380 auto 95 grain,Full Medal Jacket(FMJ)
    20 rounds.

The gun shot all ammo without a single failure to feed or fire in fact it was flawless.
    It shot all ammo POA

The sights are small and when fired slow are fine but when I tried to
fire 5 rounds fast I could not find the front sight fast enough
to keep up with the speed I can get out of my Glocks.
also the group size was way too big on the target when fired this way.

Then I tried to shoot by looking at the target and not at the front sight
(keeping the sights in my line of sight but out of focus)and the groups instantly got a smaller
The Bersa is a natural pointer
In fact it does this better than my Glocks do.

It became clear this is how the manufacturer meant it to be used.
The sights are small to keep them from snagging on holsters, handbag closures
or cloths, but will work for people to practice with.

Most people will never look at the sights in a fight for life, just point
and shoot . the Bersa does this better than most gun I have shot.
If you need better sights Bersa makes 380s with them at about the same price as the 380CC, so the choice is yours.
As for me I will be carrying it so it works fine for me.

my next gun will be a 9mm and I can say I will look at the Bersa line
    before I buy it.

Overall I think I got more than I paid for

I have heard nothing but good things about the Bersa line of guns. Congrats on making a good selection.

If your assailant is under 6' tall and under 200LBs you have a fairly decent SD gun there. Outside of those perameters you could have a tough time making the perp stop before he cuts your throat from ear to ear.

My wife and I shot this for the first time a week ago and were instantly impressed with it. It was a rental and and one FTE, but we think it was the spring. Everybody we've talked has said positive things about it. It's a smaller caliber, but well placed shots will take care of that.

I disagree with Rusty Bucket. DPX .380 ammo and a Bersa .380CC are a great defensive carry combo.

I have a Bersa Thunder 380. I really like the way the gun carries and points, and it is very accurate at distances up to 25 feet. My version has the better sights on it compared to the CC 380 Bersa, and I really like them - while small, they are very visible. My gun has not been 100% trouble free- I get the occassional FTE or FTF, but this usually happens when I'm shooting fast and it may be me limp wristing the gun. Not sure. But I carry this gun with Corbon 90 gr. hollow points more than any other pistol I own. In a comp-tac c-tac IWB holster the Bersa is barely noticeable.

    It's not a BB gun!

    Yes, I have one...

Must be the debate about .380 ammo .vs .40 or .45. While the Bersa is not my EDC, it is reliable and trustworthy. It is meant for self-defense and CQC. I never train with the Bersa past 21'.

Certainly not a Glock or Beretta, but a dependable gun.

I have the Bersa .380 Plus great shooter and carries well, the only draw back is the ammo costs more than 9mm. Can shoot accurately out to 50 ft.

I really get tired of the old ammo argument. Bigger isn't always better. A well placed 380 will stop a 5'11" 199lb man just as well as it will stop a 6'1" 201lb man. I had a bersa 380cc until my wife stole it from me and carries it. Very nice gun. Well made, well priced, accurate, reliable. We have a set of Marschal wood grips on it, and she is a pleasure to carry. Nice report.
Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.
