Look for new gun for CC duty

I am thinking of getting another gun to add to the collection. I am looking for something in .40 and am thinking of going glock.I already have a XD .45 service model and so I am looking for something easier to concel and the holster selection is alot more wide and parts are easier and cheaper to buy and everything I am not looking for a SC. I was looking at the glock 23 but am open to others.

    Glock

Sounds like you've hit all he high points, and about talked yourself in to a Glock already. Buy it. The 23 is a great CCW.

The 23 is a great choice, great ergonomics, accurate, light wieght and reliable. If you want a slimmer, slightly smaller gun, check out the Glock 36. If carrying 7 rounds of .45 cal sits well with you, that's the way to go. It is my ccw.

    I've had a 27 and now a 26, so I suggest checking out both the 23 and the 27.

My experience with recoil of the 27 lead me to recommend the 23--nearly as concealable, easier to control and more capacity.

    Go Glock 23!

A Glock 23 is my daily LEO carry pistol. I also have a Lone Wolf 9mm. conversion barrel for cheaper range practice.

Ever consider a G32 in .357? Same size as a G19/23, with tremendous ballistics. You can get a 9mm conversion barrel for them also to practice and plink with.

+1 what AZ Husker said. I have the G32 and G33 and both are easily concealed, sweet shooting and hit like a ton of bricks.
    You'll rock, with a 357 Glock

Yep. I just finished trials on a round from Double Tap in .357 out of a G32.
147gr Gold Dot thru my chrony at 1525fps. Can't beat that with a 9 or .40!

I shot my friend's G23 at the range tonight, and holy crap that thing is flippy! I actually found my .45 to be more controllable.

If you're used to shooting a .45 like I am, and you're interested in a compact Glock, I'd say look into a G19. It's going to be much easier to handle, and the ammo is literally 2/3rds the cost of .40 S&W.

If you're worried about the 9mm not being powerful enough to get the job done, you can always carry the Federal Hi-Shok 9PBLE duty ammo, or equivalent (115 gr +p+); the ballistics are very good.

A Storm Lake conversion barrel is around $100. It'll pay for itself in no time. TopGlock.com: Storm Lake Glock 32 9mm conversion standard

Is'nt it the opposite aswell? you can also put a 23 barel in the 32, right? I wish i would have thought ot that before i got my 19, but only for the versitility. I absolutly love my G19 but having the option to have 3 guns in 1 makes my want one even more
