    Price check SIG-229

Got a line on a clean looking used Sig-229 in .40 cal. Asking $475. They go for over $800 new here. Good price or not? Any specific wear areas I should look at on this weapon?

I'm waiting for a LE Glock 23, but that could take months, and I really want to upgrade my Taurus PT-145 before things get ugly. Always liked Sigs.

IF it looks good and seems tight, I would say that is a good price. I think I paid 575 for a two tone factory refurbished 9mm. Take a look on gun broker to see what they are selling for there.

Yes, that is a good price. If your getting a LE Glock, I don't think the Marxists will have any effect on that.

As SIXTO said, I think that is a very good price. Look at the usual wear locations and halfway decent I would say it was a good find. Enjoy it!

You should find wear marks on the lower receiver rails...on the front and rear. Other than that, as long as you do a function check (DA/SA, locks back on an empty mag, decocks, etc) you should be good to go.

    It is a good price...

I would say go for it. If you don't mind spending a bit more money you can pay sig $129.99 for a once over on your gun. Here is a link to the pricing sheet and details http://www.sigsauer.com/CustomerServ...Price-List.pdf
