Strange thing happened with my revolver tonight

I went to shot my S&W model 42 lemon squeezer tonight and something odd happened, the fired casings in this case 158 grain magtech FMJ's wouldn't eject from the cylinder. I had to pull a couple of them out my self and they were stuck pretty good, the gun itself funtioned fine and was very accurate also. So is there something wrong with my new to me gun or is this an ammo issue?

Make sure the cylinders are good and clean, then try different ammo. Having the cylinders polished if all else fails, I would see if Smith might do this for you.

New ammo or reloads? My reloads do that after awhile. The cylinder gets pretty dirty.

Magtech ammo is very dirty from my past experience with them.

I've never shot magtech....just conventional brass cased?

Can tell ya that Blazer .357 aluminum/allow cased stuff expands in my Ruger Sp101. Not quite to the point of having to use a tool to dig it out, but have to really smack the ejection rod to get it started out and then pick them rest of the way by hand.

Which is to say, could be the particular ammo...

Standard or +p I had situations where I loaded some ammo pretty hot before and the cases were harder to eject

My guess would be the ammo. I don't know much about revolvers though.

It's the ammo, I've seen it before, I don't know what it is with the Magtech brand, but I've had to remove the cylinder and take a cleaning rod and hammer to get the spent brass out...

I don't know if the cases just over expand or what.

Needless to say, I never bought any after having to go through that.
