I just got that H&K USP Standard size with three 12rd mags. I was amazed, for such a huge HONKER of a gun (Glock M21 easy) , it's not too heavy, even with the sp 12rd mag. Soft kicker and super accurate.

Not to throw water on the fire of the Sig (awesome line of handguns), but how about this??....

Double stack mag with 14 rounds and a grip that's only slightly larger than that of my double stack XD9... :)

Bud, if you can hold them to the $489 price, I'd pick one up if you were looking for a .45 acp. I'd love to try and pick up a .45 sometime this year if the funds are there. I'm going to have an aweful hard time trying to decide between the contemporary .45 1911 style and the new XD. My XD9 is an outstanding handgun and I would surmise that the .45 XD would be right up there.

I hate these tough decisions! LOL!

the 220 is a fairly large gun. why make it larger.
the 245 might fare well as a double stack if they fixed the trigger stroke.

Yeah it is large, but I'll take both when/if they come out.
I think Sig has one of the best DA strokes on the market(smooth w/ no extra tension as it breaks). Just my 2cents!

I'd consider a GSR double stack. Outside of that I'm happy with my 229.

Maybe they would make the 226 in 45ACP............Might be the best of both Worlds.
Actually...........I think they're the same size weapon.

Does anyone think there is a market(USA & worldwide) for the "HiCap/double stack" P220?
Truthfully, I don't see a whole lot of one. The fixation on the .45 is a US phenomenon and the domestic shooter is so fixated on the 1911 it's something that I don't see them bothering with.

Then again, I never thought they'd do a single action only with safety 220/226 - and won't be buying one regardless.

I love Sigs, but don't need another double column 45ACP. Mine beats all comers IMO.

    Para P14-45>HK USP45>Glock 21>XD45>Witness 45

Heck.. my P12-45 holds the same capacity of the HK but with the same size as an Officer's 1911.

    Moon,
Are you sure you don't want another double stack 45?
I think a double stack Sig 45acp would fit right in with your fine collection!!!
I'm with you on the size and cap of the P12, I have one also. I'm still amazed how Para pushes the envelope(P10, smallest Hi-Cap 45)!

Nah, only Sigs that make me weak-kneed are the X-5 & 226R tactical. I like the GSR, and have been thinking that a single stack 1911 would be a great gun just so my Paras know their heritage.

Actually... there is another double stack 45 I want. It's the Para LDA Nite-Tac.
