Suggestions For a 9mm For Pocket Carry

Looking for suggestions for a 9mm semi-automatic that would be appropriate for pocket carry in a pocket holster. I wear cargo shorts with deeper pockets and a T shirt most of the time here in Florida.

I already have a S&W 642, which is great for pocket carry, but would like to add a 9mm for alternative pocket carry.

I am currently using my Ultra Carry for nightime home defense, and shooting at the range.

I have finally realized that the reality for me is that I just don't carry as much when I try IWB or OWB as I do with pocket carry.

So, a 9mm that would shoot good, would be reliable and that I could also pocket carry would be great.

    Thanks.

Instead of the CW9, you may want to start with the PM9 as it is a bit shorter and would be easier to conceal in a pocket. I have a MK9 which is the same size as a PM9 but heavier - it works in a pinch, but for long hours you would be better served with the PM9.

I'd also say to look at the PM9. I have the CW9 and it's been a great gun. Not a single failure of any kind after at least 600-700 rounds through it. I just wouldn't consider it a pocket gun.

I have a CW9 with no type of failures in over 800 rounds. Great gun. I can carry mine in my pocket without any problems, although I prefer belt carry. My father has a PM9 and I personally prefer the CW9 over it because of the longer sight radius, extra round and I get a better grip.

You can try the Walther PPS
    KelTec P-11
    KelTec PF9
    Taurus PT111
    Kahrs (mentioned above)
    Rohrbaugh

With similar conclusions to yours, I ended up moving to a .380 since I'm so much more likely to carry if it's easy and in a pocket. With larger pockets, I could pull off a Kel-tec PF-9, possibly a Kahr PM 9 or Kel-tec P11, but that little bit of width makes a surprising difference.

I carry this in my pocket as a BUG in a Desantis Superfly. Depending on the pants, it can print a little like a wallet or not at all. It is a little heavier than the other guns mentioned and marginally bigger. But from the list I choose the PPS to buy and carry and I do not regret my decision. I highly recommend it.
Gun control can be blamed in part for allowing 9/11 to happen.

I have had the Kel-Tec PF-9, I highly recommend it.

    7 round mag.
    The thinnest 9mm available, (.88")
    DAO trigger.

    Actually very accurate.

    Bought mine for $258 new.

I'm happy with my PM9 in a K&D pocket holster when pocket carrying.

    MUCH thinner than the Glock.

I posted above how much I like my Kel-Tec PF-9. At the time that I bought it, my buddy also bought the Kahr CW9. It is also a fine pistol. Very good trigger for a DAO. It was about $150 more than the Kel-Tec.
