    New Glock Frame

I am a Lone Wolf Distributor. I got a brochure in the mail today with this on one of the pages.

This is all well and good, but wouldn't you need an FFL to buy one of these? Heck, I could just buy the frame and all the parts and have myself a new gun. Am I missing something?

Yup. The ATF consideres the lower receiver/frame the "firearm" which must go through a FFL. We'll see the pricing when they become available...

Improving on perfection.....tsk, tsk! I like my Glocks the way they are. There was a reason for their creation, and it depended on basics. I knew it would take longer than usual for the scientists to come up with alternatives for the best pistol design since the 1911, but this looks really ridiculous to me. I'm no old dog not wanting to learn new tricks, but come on! Obviously some overpaid R&D group sees a viable market for these. I don't see how. Many aftermarket mods have befallen the Glock pistols. I will say some do have benefits according to user. But this right here would be the first original sin to befall the best pistol on the planet. Go ahead you XD fans.....say something....I've seen the XDs and Glocks side by side here lately....tell me they didn't copy at least 75% of the Glock design. In my book, a day late and a dollar short. Glocks ugly? C'mon....the XD is purdy? Look up the definition of 'block'.

Fighting for what kind of hold on the market? The true Glock fans won't even take a second look. Matter of fact, I don't think there will even be a market at all for these. Got to be some sort of prank.....a bad joke maybe?

I have two Glocks...they will remain 'stock'.

I shoot all of my Glocks just fine with the standard frame and a Hogue slip on. I shoot them fine without the Hogue as well, but I aquire a better grip with the slip on.

The biggest complaint of the Glocks is that their frames were just too big for some people. Others, like myself, thought that they had the ergonomics of a 2x4.

This is just an attempt to capture that segment of the market that tried Glocks and didnt like them...and I'm sure they will sell some.

Wow, I'm not the only one who thinks that! I think there is going to be more money spent making and marketing these frames then selling them. Bad idea....Glock lovers are not going to want to change their Glocks...

    Why ruin Glock perfection?

    Why ruin Glock perfection?
Because not everyone thinks they are perfect.
Thus, the different lower being marketed.

HotGuns, I was anti Glock for a long time. I was issued one on an assignment in 2003 and love their perfect simplicity. To me they are perfect, my G30 sees alot more carry time than my $1000+ dollar 1911. I never said anything about EVERYONE, did I?

You must love the H&K USP's grip, then.

Does anybody have finalized pictures of what the 4th-gen Glock is supposed to look like? I've seen at least three different pictures and the only thing they all had in common was a different grip texture (described as built-in skateboard tape).
