Help Choose CCW?
Need help with 1st conceal carry. Have Colt 38 revolver that I will not take out. OK, I know I need to rent and try the guns below, but they are not all available to rent. I have a few criteria I would like (not all guns below have all).
1. 9mm
2. Easy CCW IWB mostly
3. Reliable/Preputable
4. Black
5. Safe to carry, possibly manual safety
6. Won't break bank so I can afford range time
Help me choose, or even rank the choices below. Comments desired!

Glock 26
SIG Sauer P239

The P-239 is a very well made gun, a great gun to shoot and carry and it will maintain it's value. It's also easy to conceal IWB.

I'd say the Glock-26 would fit your requirements quite well.

I voted G26, but P229 would be a second choice if you like Sig (P239 has too few rounds for me).
The best part about Glock is the versatility of additional options. You can use anything from 10 to 32 round magazines...10, 12, 15, 17, 19, or 32 rounds. That's a lot of choices! Then of course you can order spare parts online anywhere and replace anything that you have a problem with for a couple bucks.

I voted Glock 26 too, although I prefer the 19.

What about the M&P??
I just got my M&P compact in .40S&W, which also comes in 9mm. I am a dang skinny guy and it is easily concealable and very reasonably priced. Just my $.02

RAMI is reliable and easy to shoot. I have one in .40 cal and wife has the 9mm. Available in polymer or alloy and with safety or decocker. I personally prefer decocker model guns, but it wasn't available when we got ours.

Based on your requirements, I voted for a G26. Personally, I carry a PM9 though. If you can spend more and plan on any pocket carry, you may want to consider the Kahr. Try them all if you can. The Sig 239 is tempting also.

I carry a Spr. XD(.45) and a SW 442, but given your parameters....I have seen some 239's reasonably priced, used, that would turn me in a 9mm direction. I vote 239

I voted Taurus PT111 Mil. Pro, because that's what I use for EDC. I have never had any problems with mine. I have about 700 rounds through it without a hiccup. I do however want to get a Springfield XD...heard great things about the line.

I voted Glock 26 based on simplicity, durability, and reliability. It is MY primary carry weapon. Good luck and have fun shopping.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
