    My New Gun

I just purchased my first Glock! I bought a G23 with an OD Green frame. I am a medic and got the gun new with the Glock LE discount. Me and a buddy bought one today, I'm happy with the purchase. He just told me his gun jammed on the third round he fired. Could be cause it's new or the cheap ammo we bought to shoot through them. I know Glocks have a good reputation for reliability, and I plan on buying a G27 soon for another carry option. Any quirks I should know about the gun?

    Congrats
and welcome to the world of "Glock Perfection".
The only problem with Glocks is that you cannot have only one ... or two .... or ...
As with any SD pistol, you should put 100-300 rds through it to break it in and make sure it works perfectly (it's gotta, it's a Glock).

Now if you guys think I'm "prejudiced",....................... you are right

Glocks are good... I have not found one that I would not want to shoot many, many times.

Your all correct. I am already planning on a G27 and possibly a G26 for my gf for her vehicle. I was not sure I would like the OD green frame or not, but I do.

Well the LE discount is of course for LEO's, EMT's, Paramedic's, Firefighters, and several other public servants. What I did was call Glock and asked for their LE division, and asked them directly about the process. You can either purchase directly from Glock or go to one of your states Glock Authorized LE Dealers like I did to purchase the gun. You have to be. from what I was told, active with a department to get the discount.

Just don't shoot lead ammo. Make sure that it is jacketed. I only use factory ammo in my Glocks. The polygonal rifling in the Glock barrels is not quite as deep as most rifling and therefore you should not use lead ammo. It can cause a KABOOM.

Other than that keep on shooting with her. She'll work well. Good luck.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
