After a very long wait, (9 months) I bought my first pistol today. I was originally looking at a Glock 23, but with ammo prices getting worse I picked up a 19 instead. Now I have to wait till Monday to go the the County clerk and then pick it up!!! Then I'll be heading straight to Walmart.

You should enjoy your purchase...the G-19 will cost less to fire than a .45. (Not my choice, but it's not my gun.)

I just finally treated myself to a set of Meprolights on my G19 tonight. I love the 40S&W in my G22 and G27, and thought about the G23 very seriously. But early this year, I got the G19, and it's put the rest of them to shame at the range for me, and yes...the cost of ammo vs. fun accounts for a lot these days! Be looking forward to pics, and the range review for sure.

My girlfriend is a typical anti-gun New Yorker. I told her, and the first thing she said was "Oh my God you don't have it on you do you???" Hopefully after I show her how to handle it safely, and how it works she won't be so scared of it.
She's always on my strong side while walking in public with her hand on my waist. I told her she'd have to start liking my left side!! I can picture being in the grocery store or something and her accidentally touching it and freaking out and drawing attention.
