I got a new Ruger Sp-101.
The cylinder rotates backward when the hammer isn't cocked (it locks fine when the hammer is cocked, though).
WTH?
This is a NIB, indestructable Ruger.
Didn't notice it until I got home.
Talk to me here, people.

I have no personal experience with that issue but I did find these, maybe you haven't. I hope it's easily remedied!

I don't know how you found that stuff, but that is EXACTLY what's going on. I've dropped it off at a local shop for a fix. They didn't seem particularly surprised or seem to think that it would take a great deal of work to fix it.
So I'm hopeful. It would be a very expensive boat anchor.

If its NIB, why not have Ruger fix it on their dime?

Don't want it gone that long.
If my local guy can't get'r gone on the cheap and quick, then Ruger's the one option that I know will work. I've had good experiences with them fixing their stuff for free and for nothing. They are very responsive.
